Welcome to my art journal. Its mainly a place for me to exhibit all my arty stuff without clogging up my main journal, to be frank. You'll find loads of digital art and as my back gets better some scans of paintings I'll do, and even photoshop brushes I've made ...

All resources will be in the link list on the sidebar...

To start with I'll probably do icons, and post up a lot of my photoshop digital art that I've already created
Feel free to drop by and comment, but please credit this journal, if you take anything....

Please DO NOT HOTLINK any images you find here...this rule is an absolute....

This is a tutorial on a pic of Leighton Meester. It involves selective colouring and gradient maps, and is fairly image heavy, though most of the images are clickable thumbnails

I have been a manic icon maker lately, here are 63 stock and fashion icons, plus 14 Fashion FO Banners. There are the full rainbow spectrum of colours to choose from (I had made so many, I found I could arrange them that way in the table!)

Textless icons CAN be used as bases,so long as you credit me for the base, snag and comment if taking, and please credit the journal

.... as Julie Andrews would sing. I was feeling blue and needed some shiny twinkly, blinky icons to cheer myself up with. I've ended up with 25 icons of favourite things, mostly animated, plus 4 Banners that can be placed in the user info.

Comment if taking, of course, and no hotlinking

Here are 34 Exotic Flower and some random icontest icons, some are subtley animated.
These icons CAN be used as bases, as I'd rather they were used than sit here lonely, and you can personalise a lot of them with text that means something to you - just give me credit for the base if you do. I would love to see any icons that you've adapted, just post them as a comment to my journal entry :)

I have had a few requests for tutorials on some of my animated icons. I have narrowed down the choice to these 2, they are both "glowy" type animations, with different methods involved, but both are dead simple, so...

1. 2.

Poll #1170092 Animated Icon Tutorial
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: None, participants: 9

Which animated icon would you like a tutorial on?

Dragonfly icon - pulsing wings
4 (44.4%)

Butterfly icon - glowing background

Both please

Butterfly icons Preview

I have been immersed in making lots of butterfly icons for various icontests lately, so I've added to them making 30 lovely icons in total, several of which are animated. There is also a large, special animated banner of a butterfly in full flight, which can be placed in the userinfo if taken
As usual, don't hotlink and credit if taking, comments are welcome :)

I've done this live journal set with a Header, FO Banner and various textless bases and texted icons to match. The image is a modern grunge style, of Monica Bellucci both in her younger years and as she is now, celebration her timeless beauty

I tend to use her images a lot when I do icons and various digital pieces - she's just one of my muses, the ideal woman physically speaking...

I came across this tutorial at [info]_bitter_endings journal (a total genius!), the other day, and have followed it and embellished in areas. Hope you like it...

Heres a preview...

This was my therapy for my stressful week, I hope you enjoy them.
They’re inspired by the wonderful [info]cap_ris at [info]sensi_incanto beautiful old postcard brushes and [info]raevnn aged, distressed icons, which I love, and want to pinch all of them for my userpics LOL

There are 10 images, all made to look like parts of old scrapbooks, decayed photos and postcards. I’ve linked all the original images for comparison, as people often like the stuff I post, but say they have no idea how its different from the original LOL….

My India inspired icons and art, nothing too deep or political...just the aspects of asian culture I grew to love as a child, and am nostalgic about now....
